FYI-- I wasn't pushing Alan's point about allowing more access to change ACLs. I'm a minor player on this Wiki site and am fine with a core group of admins performing these sorts of functions (as long as that group doesn't mind and can get to things within a reasonable time).
I would like to know if there's a more proper way to get stuff done (fixing ACLs and updating Contents/Index pages) than sending to this list.
