You gave me what I needed, a priority ranking and pointers from where to
start.
I was not angry in my previous mail, just "afraid" this issue could be
overlooked. Happy you do care.

Quite frankly I'm not a autoconf/automake expert, but I'm willing to get
cegcc working on windows without cygwin. I'll get it.

Of course I'm on this issue on my free time.
At the moment I'm trying to cross build a mingw version from linux. This
would give a windows version without having to understand the msys
./configure problem.

All I need up to now seem to be gmp/mpfr for i586-mingw32msvc. I think I
know how to do that.
