It might be hard. mpfr (and mpc) are prerequisites for new versions of
gcc (this is since 4.3.0 I believe).

I would expect that either installing the native gcc-4.3 or 4.4 rpm, or
installing a mpfr rpm, fixes the problem.

Can you figure out exactly what to do so we can document it ?
