My apologies.  The above statement was incorrect.  On the device I was
using (an old pre-production Palm TreoPro of some sort) neither the
version I just built with self-built cegcc *nor* the one built with
the two-year-old cegcc exits successfully.  On my old Dell Axim both
run, and exit, fine.  The bug is mine, introduced recently apparently.

Again, I'm sorry to be clogging this very helpful list with avoidable
questions.  As a penance I'll see if, now that I can build cegcc, I can
get it packaged for Debian.
