Initially I had 0.51 both on my linux box and the device. This caused the stdio 
problem.

Then, I changed toolchain to 0.50 but dlls on the device were still 0.51 - 
problem was still there.

Finally I had 0.50 on both, and the problem went away.

Just to be sure,

did you also update the dll on the device, or just updated
the toolchain on the dev machine ?
