It's independant.  The work to do this is really pretty much
mechanic, and can be done in one go, no need to do it stepwise.
Its just a matter of going throught the various config* files
and replacing -wince- with -*-.  Like this for example:

Incidently I've just downloaded a clean svn checkout
overnight on my kubuntu, and it's waiting for me to
build it.  If you want to, just go ahead [*], otherwise
I can do it, no prob.

[*] - In that case, please remember to use the
correct vanilla autoconf* versions.
