Thanks for that. I'll definitely attempt to do the same. I've asked the 
fellas who run pkgsrc-WIP to grant me git access. My intention is to:

1. Give you the patches in the proper format et al. 
2. Pull the version of CDE in pkgsrc-WIP up once the next cut of CDE is 
   out with the patches in-source. 
3. Fiddle with lots of non-NetBSD platforms that also run pkgsrc and get 
   as many as I have time/energy/access into a working state. 
4. Lobby for acceptance into "mainline" releases of pkgsrc
5. Celebrate the package creation of CDE in NetBSD! 

That's the dream, anyhow.

Okay, great, that's easy enough. I just want to make sure the patches 
don't cause regressions on other platforms. So, I'll do my best to make 
sure everything is conditionalized if it's a platform-specific issue.
