All, I've managed to successfully build CDE on Arch Linux ARM (armv5el). A few things to take note of:
(1) Ncompress needs to be (manually) installed as /usr/bin/compress, since this package isn't available for Arch ARM. (2) Nawk needs to be installed for configRun to work. (3) I have these set in my host.def but haven't tried doing a build without it: #define LinuxDistribution LinuxUnknown #define HasZlib YES (4) I'm running CDE under TigerVNC, since the Pogoplug E02 on which I built CDE doesn't have video hardware. I noticed in the Style Manager, some pixels surrounding the palette of color sample swatches seem to be transparent, at least initially; instead of the normal dialog background, I get whatever's underneath the dialog if it's not the desktop wallpaper. I don't know if this is due to VNC, or something else. -Scott ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
