it's really nice :) git-am parses, sets up commit msg (with your
name/email as the author, etc, and commits all in one easy step :)

PS: Sorry, this is my first use of git in this fashion - applying many
patches from other people.  I can see why developers on other projects
prefer this method.

As I get a feel for this work, I'll propose a 'submitting patches'
guideline.  I already think git-format-patch/git-am is going to be in
it :)
