Hi everyone,

You might recall that I wrote a while back about an issue with our old Rigaku
Minstrel Gallery 600 plate hotel. That problem was fixed in the end with a bit
of cleaning and lubrication, as suggested by a former Rigaku engineer. However,
we also have a Minstrel Desktop system that was moved from the cold room, where
it had been stored for a while, and reinstalled in its former location at room
temperature. Unfortunately there seems to be a major issue with the homing of
the camera unit (Z axis in particular). No amount of restart and power cycling
can fix it… The Gallery part, server and camera PC seem to all be working. The
error message we get is:

"Failed to home the Minstrel(TM) DT UV! This is most likely due to a servo
position error. Please try to launch the software again."

Does this message ring any bells with anyone?

Thanks
Derek
