The Du Lab and Lü Lab at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) are seeking highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows to investigate the molecular and structural bases of sensory perception — specifically how the human body detects and interprets signals such as temperature and taste.
Our research aims to understand how sensory information is transmitted to the brain and translated into physiological responses, focusing on the ion channels and receptors that mediate these processes. To achieve these goals, we integrate approaches in single-particle cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), patch-clamp electrophysiology, and a variety of complementary biochemical and biophysical techniques. Our labs are part of a vibrant and collaborative environment at Northwestern University, equipped with state-of-the-art cryo-EM instrumentation, including a Titan Krios G4 microscope with a Selectris X energy filter and Falcon 4i detector, as well as a Glacios microscope with Selectris X/Falcon 4i configuration. These resources enable both high-throughput and high-resolution data collection for advanced structural biology projects. For further information about our labs and ongoing projects, please visit our lab website: https://dululabs.com. Qualifications o Ph.D. in structural biology, biochemistry, biophysics, neuroscience, or a related field o (Preferred but not required) Experience in structural biology, membrane protein biochemistry, or ion channel electrophysiology o Strong motivation, curiosity, and ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment If you are interested in joining, please send your CV, cover letter, and a list of 2-3 referees to Juan Du ([email protected]) or Wei Lü ([email protected]). ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the CCP4BB list, click the following link: https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/WA-JISC.exe?SUBED1=CCP4BB&A=1 This message was issued to members of www.jiscmail.ac.uk/CCP4BB, a mailing list hosted by www.jiscmail.ac.uk, terms & conditions are available at https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/policyandsecurity/
