Dear all,

The 3DEM FIG (3D EM in the Biological Sciences Focused Interest Group) is
pleased to invite you to the Transformative High-Resolution Cryo-Electron
Microscopy Pre-meeting Congress (PMCx61) at M&M 2025 to be held on Sunday, July
27, 2025 ahead of the 2025 Microscopy & Microanalysis Meeting in Salt Lake
City, UT.

What is PMCx61?
The PMCx61 is a one-day conference organized by the 3DEM FIG for trainees,
professionals and researchers using microscopy in the biological sciences. Our
PMC will include discussions covering the recent innovations in the field
guided by invited talks delivered by leaders and emerging scientists in our
field. We offer a highly interactive forum for participants to share
cutting-edge research and to network; and for students, trainees and early
career professionals to engage with the greater cryoEM community of the main
M&M meeting. As part of this PMC, we will be featuring several panel
discussions and networking events. More information come soon on our website
(https://mmconference.microscopy.org/congress-x61).

Speakers include:

  *
Anchi Cheng (Chan Zuckerberg Imaging Institute)
  *
Janet Iwasa (University of Utah)
  *
Grant Jensen (Brigham Young University)
  *
Peter Shen (University of Utah)
  *
Elizabeth Wright (University of Wisconsin - Madison)
  *
Additional speakers will be chosen from abstracts

How do I register?
Sign-up for PMCx61 when you register for M&M by selecting PMCx61 from the list
of pre-meeting congresses. Make sure you sign-up before May 8, 2025 to reserve
your spot and to get the early-bird registration price. But registrations are
available up to the meeting date.

For more information see the M&M meeting site:
https://mmconference.microscopy.org/registration-information

How do I get involved?
We're planning an event with a lot of opportunities to participate throughout
the day, and for an afternoon visit to the University of Utah's cryoEM
facility. The best way for you to join is to submit an abstract for a poster or
flash talk at our PMC to share your work with a broader audience.
For planning purposes, let us know interest here:

Please reach out to us if you are interested in sponsorship or have any
questions about the PMCx61. We are looking forward to seeing you this summer.

Best,
Ed
