PhD Position in Structural Biology – Nuclear Receptors
Location: LMU Munich, Department of Pharmacy

The research group of Prof. Daniel Merk at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität
München (LMU) is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our team in
the Department of Pharmacy. This PhD project aims to uncover the molecular
details of nuclear receptor interactions with small-molecule ligands to support
therapeutic development.

The primary techniques involved will include recombinant protein expression and
purification, crystal growth, X-ray data collection, and structure elucidation.
Additional methods will encompass biophysical measurements of binding
affinities (e.g., BLI, ITC) and biochemical assays (e.g., HTRF). To apply,
please send your CV, a cover letter detailing your research experience and
motivation, and contact information for two references to vasily.morozov at
cup.lmu.de.
