Dear colleagues,

With sadness I convey news of the passing of Dr Richard Pauptit, formerly
Astrazeneca, U.K.
Richard was well known in the protein crystallography field, a great scientist
and inspiring teacher. Many of you will have encountered him at meetings,
worked with him and enjoyed his hospitality. He was an active member of the
CCP4 commitee.
He retired from Astrazeneca in 2014 but still played a role in many projects.
His obituary is published in ActaF https://doi.org/10.1107/S2053230X24007064
