Dear colleagues, I have an open PhD position (4-years, 1.0 FTE) in my lab at Groningen University, the Netherlands. The student will work to elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms of how viruses hijack mitochondrial function to benefit replication, using a combination of state-of-the-art macromolecular x-ray crystallography and/or cryo-EM in combination with cell biology experiments to probe viral infections.
