What do dynamic protein complexes look like inside the cell? Advances in 
cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) offer unprecedented insights into dynamic 
protein complexes within cells. This webinar introduces cryoDRGN-ET, an 
open-source machine learning approach for reconstructing and visualizing 
biomolecular structures from in situ cryo-ET subtomograms. To demonstrate its 
effectiveness to capture diverse states in composition and conformation, it was 
applied to a dataset of 120000 subtomograms of S. cerevisiae ribosomes, 
revealing the distribution of functional states during translation elongation 
in situ.
