(Dean Myles for Gary Lynn & Luke Heroux, ORNL) We are seeking three skilled Laboratory Managers for the development and support of the structural biology and the soft matter programs in the Neutron Scattering Division (NSD) of the Neutron Sciences Directorate.
As a Laboratory Manager, you will participate in laboratory operation, sample preparation, and user program related activities at the Spallation Neutron Source and High Flux Isotope Reactor. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary research team to develop methods and protocols that enable the application of neutron diffraction and scattering techniques to investigate the structure, function and dynamics of complex biological systems. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities for protein expression and purification, isotopic labeling, biophysical characterization, crystallization, and X-ray diffraction and scattering, as well as access to ORNL’s world class facilities for neutron diffraction, scattering and spectroscopy.
