Dear Colleagues, The Membrane Transport Laboratory at the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of Pavia, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in integrative structural biology for a two-years appointment (renewable if funding available).
Our laboratory is focused on the biophysical mechanisms of ion channels and transporters, with an eye on those involved in pathological phenotypes. A selection of recent publications can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/memTlab The project will focus on the biophysical validation and structural characterisation of small molecules and peptides targeting two human transporters. The candidate will make use of a wide range of methodologies, including molecular biology, biochemistry, electrophysiology, binding experiments and cell biology. Our laboratory is fully equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for protein expression, purification and crystallisation. In addition, we have rolling access to the campus core facility building equipped with a fully working pipeline for cryo-EM grids preparation and data collection on a Glacios 200 kV cryo-EM microscope. Position to be filled as soon as possible. Applicants should send their CV and a cover letter to: marco.lolic...@unipv.it Informal inquiries can be also addressed to the same e-mail.
