A postdoctoral research position is available in my lab at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology to work on pandemic HIV-1 and the role of its capsid in promoting infection while avoiding host immunity. The project will exploit exciting new research on the role of novel capsid cofactors and the structural mechanisms behind both the construction and maturation of infectious viral particles and the post-entry role of the capsid. There will also be an opportunity to get involved in other projects in the lab, including work on ubiquitination and protein degradation.
