Dear All

Following Martin's message about activities at Instruct-UK I want to make you
aware to the priority scheme at Instruct.

To protect our users and staff during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we have
suspended physical visits to Instruct Centres (to be reviewed 30 April 2020).
However, where possible Instruct will continue to offer priority access to its
structural biology services for research directly related to coronavirus. To
find out how to apply for priority access, click
here<http://email.mail.aria.services/c/eJw1jbEOgjAURb8GNgnY0sLQQRMYnExQI2zP1yKtBUlpE_17u5ic4eQkN1eK6sEh1QI-pOuNCeZefC_1tTkjniaAdVCPEU1_7OY8cGPosDYJzfWyeRfQM3RFOglZj5yqvAJWKqCVik6oLEnNOKOMkdSKyft1S8gh2beR_36nnMZMhZi8A3wpF22A29by1Am0EKQGq5Z4-ZxB2wzf8w9shDpc>.
we are offering priority access to groups that need to use our structural
biology services for projects directly related to COVID-19 viral proteins.
Priority access will ensure a faster review of research proposals relating to
COVID-19. You can view Instruct’s technology
catalogue<http://email.mail.aria.services/c/eJw1jbEOgjAURb-GbpJSC4Whg4mixhiMi2F8PEqptiClDPy9LCZ3ODnJyW1l3gggRk63d00fL60n4csp6U6VpVdbrU6HR_s88rI_310xNmsdcWqGOfgFQ4Y-Ib2EpmAZ7QA5xZQBEyKFvO0STKjIGRTEyj6E7xztDxErt_37nfIGY7VsKnjAj_IbXQZXc0u8RAtLa8CqYbvUDoyNcXQ_IiM6PQ>
online. To request priority access to Instruct-ERIC services for COVID-19
related research, please with COVID-19 in the title of the proposal.

If you have any questions regarding access to Instruct-ERIC services for
COVID-19 research or about your changing your visit (to remote access or to a
different centre) please contact the Instruct Hub at
supp...@instruct-eric.eu<mailto:supp...@instruct-eric.eu>.

Best wishes

Claudia

Subject: [ccp4bb] Urgent call for expression of interest in COVID-19 related
access at DIAMOND LIGHT SOURCE

Dear users,

RESPONSE TO COVID-19 EMERGENCY

Diamond is offering, subject to light touch rapid review, free-at-the-point of
use remote access to a range of facilities (see below) to help research aimed
at combatting the COVID-19 outbreak. This applies equally to users from all
countries.

To help us plan operations we would appreciate expressions of interest ASAP to
gauge the likely level of demand. At this stage we do not require mature
proposals, simply estimation of what access (experiment type and scope) you
might require over the next three months.

The short rapid access proposal can be accessed here:
https://www.diamond.ac.uk/covid-19/for-scientists/rapid-access.html

Please either fill in the form or send a free-format expression of interest
direct to: covid19acc...@diamond.ac.uk<mailto:covid19acc...@diamond.ac.uk>

Details:

In line with UK government recommendations to help slow down the spread of the
COVID-19 disease ( https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus) Diamond will be running
restricted operations for the foreseeable future and will not be accommodating
any users on site.

For the month of April we are aiming to perform only remote access work
relevant to the COVID-19 outbreak. We hope to run a limited service with
Instruments available according to demand, from amongst the following

cryo MX beamlines: https://www.diamond.ac.uk/Instruments/Mx.html

XChem: https://www.diamond.ac.uk/Instruments/Mx/Fragment-Screening.html

cryoEM via eBIC:
