The Research Technologist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Mario 
Halic, Department of Structural Biology, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The Research Technologist will participate in structural and biochemical 
characterization of multiprotein chromatin machines that have roles in cancer. 
The focus is on understanding the assembly and regulation of enzymes that 
modify histone proteins. The Research Technologist will perform research 
experiments involving molecular biology, protein purification, multiprotein 
complex assembly and characterization. The ideal candidate should have strong 
knowledge of fundamental principles of molecular biology and biochemistry; high 
degree of motivation and dedication to the job; and excellent communication, 
organizational, and interpersonal skills. A commitment of at least 2 years is 
required. Candidates should have a B.S. or M.S. degree with a background in 
biochemistry or molecular biology.
