Hi Matthew

In the UK Molecular Dimensions sell the cane sleeves – since you can get the
prices in dollars I’m sure they ship internationally
https://www.moleculardimensions.com/products/3808-CryoSleeve/

I’m not aware of the cryo vial holders but Molecular Dimensions still sell
(well they are listed on their website) the old style ESRF sample pucks
https://www.moleculardimensions.com/products/3842-ESRFEMBL-Sample-Changer-Basket/
which hold ten vials and fit nicely in a foam dewar.
It holds the vials in place magnetically so you would need to buy the transfer
support
https://www.moleculardimensions.com/products/3844-Transfer-Support/
as presumably you are planning on transferring to canes after freezing, or
bodge another solution.

Subject: [ccp4bb] Looking for alternatives for discontinued crystallography
items

Hi,

I am looking for alternative suppliers or similar items for the following
products that were carried by Hampton Research but have since been discontinued.

1. Cryo vial holder. This is a hexagonal, metal holder that can hold 8 cryo
vials. It is handy for freezing multiple crystals at once and fits nicely in a
medium Spear Lab Dewar.

2. Cryo cane protector. This is a plastic shield that fits over a cryo cane to
protect vials from being dislodged during handling.

Any information regarding substitute products or creative solutions for
fulfilling the roles of these abandoned products is welcome.

Thanks,
Matt
