Dear Colleagues,

Postdoctoral positions in membrane protein biochemistry and structural biology
are available in the laboratory of Peng Yuan at Washington University School of
Medicine in St Louis, Missouri. The lab is interested in understanding
molecular mechanisms and physiological functions of membrane transport proteins
that play important roles in human health and disease (for most recent
examples: Nature Structural & Molecular Biology 2018, doi:
10.1038/s41594-018-0037-5; Nature Microbiology 2018, doi:
10.1038/s41564-018-0255-y). We use a combination of approaches including X-ray
crystallography, single-particle cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM), biochemical
reconstitution and electrophysiology. The lab is well equipped with
state-of-the-art setup for membrane protein biochemistry, biophysics and
structural biology. In addition, we have excellent access to synchrotron X-ray
facilities including the Advanced Photon Source and state-of-the-art Titan
Krios cryo-electron microscope at the Washington University Center for Cellular
Imaging.

Successful candidates are expected to be highly motivated and well trained in
membrane protein biochemistry, or in structural biology using X-ray
crystallography or cryoEM. Please send your application including cover letter,
CV, and contact information for three references to yu...@wustl.edu.

Sincerely,

Peng Yuan, Ph.D.
