1) With support from the Wellcome Trust and the BBSRC, the XFEL Hub at Diamond announces a pilot programme for travel aid to help reduce the financial burdens of XFEL experiments in structural biology. 2) At the SPB/SFX Early User workshop at the European XFEL in Hamburg (28-29 Nov 2016), Allen Orville with the XFEL Hub at Diamond agreed to help coordinate the preparation of two proposals for early science experiments in **Time-resolved SFX** one for light driven systems, and the other for a mixing systems.
