A post-doctoral position with expertise in X-ray structure determination of
small molecule-protein complexes is immediately available in the laboratory of
Dr. Hiroaki Mitsuya at National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of
Health, Bethesda, MD. Broadly, the laboratory works on the discovery of novel
small molecule inhibitors against HIV and on the mechanism of drug resistance.
The laboratory actively collaborates with scientists with a range of expertise
such as medicinal chemistry, virology, cellular biology, structural biology,
computational chemistry and molecular modeling.
The candidate needs to have expertise in various aspects of x-ray structure
determination (protein expression, purification, crystallization, data
collection, structure determination/refinement etc.). Candidates are expected
to have completed or be completing a Ph.D. with a strong publication record in
structural biology/x-ray structure determination. Candidates should have no
more than two years of post-doctoral experience.
Please email a curriculum vitae, bibliography, a statement of research
interests, future goals, names and contact information of three references to
Dr. Debananda Das, [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with subject
heading: ERS postdoc position in structural biology.
The NIH is dedicated to building a diverse community in its training and
employment programs. This position is subject to a background investigation.
