Hi It looks like Dimitris has been bitten by something that is all too common, unfortunately (so common that the next release of iMosflm will try to trap this issue).
This error occurs when the user tries to open an image in iMosflm by using the "open session" function - which is actually there so you can read an XML file saved from a previous iMosflm session (and which almost no-one seems to use). When the code finds a file (e.g. a CBF) that isn't valid iMosflm saved session XML, it gets a bit confused. A number of years ago, I wrote a very brief pocket guide on the basics of running iMosflm - although I haven't updated it since 2008, I think it's still worth looking at if you haven't run iMosflm before (or recently) - see http://www.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/harry/imosflm/ver713/documentation/pocket.pdf On 5 Mar 2015, at 16:11, Harry Powell wrote: > Hi Dimitris > > Can you send me *one* of the CBF files directly so that I can see it? > > On 5 Mar 2015, at 15:42, dladakis wrote: > >> Hello >> I recently collected data from ESRF, trying to read data on imosflm and i >> keep getting an error message "could not parse file".
