Hi folks

We are pleased to announce the release of iMosflm/Mosflm 7.1.2; this version
will be included in the next update of CCP4, so if you are prepared to wait a
few days there is no need to download from our website, just use the "Manage
updates" button in ccp4i (you will need to have version 6.5 installed) when it
tells you that there are updates to install.

Downloads are available from

        http://www.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/harry/imosflm/ver712/introduction.html

or

        http://www.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/harry/mosflm/index.html (if you just want
Mosflm)

This is a bug-fix release which has no new features.

New features, such as the "known unit cell" option in autoindexing will be
included in the next full release of Mosflm and are not present in this bug-fix
release.

Bugs addressed include -

iMosflm:
*********

(1) OSX App code tidied up to change "bash-isms" to pure Bourne shell in launch
code

(2) Remove file "junk.xml" properly (permissions on this file prevented
automatic deletion) - this file is no longer written.

(3) Change code so that the file "nullin" is no longer written (was used in
determining number of cores on host).

(4) Make sure that batch job directories have full (not relative) path, to make
sure the output and log files are all put in the same place.

(5) Put a check in to make sure the executable pointed to in the
~/.mosflm/.profile directory can actually be run, otherwise re-set it to
$MOSFLM_EXEC

(6) Better display for images with (overall) very low backgrounds.

(7) Change colour and size of cross for direct beam to make it more obvious.

(8) Set minimum radius for beamstop mask to non-zero for all detectors so it
can be changed by dragging the rim.

(9) Occasional grey image when loading new sectors in the same session has been
removed.

(10) transposed line and null pixel value in "pick" window fixed.

Mosflm:
********

(1) The XML output from the indexing step for DNA & EDNA has been fixed

(2) The detector size parameters are now calculated from the pixel size, number
of pixels in each dimension, and number of tiles for some detectors (only for
Rayonix/Mar CCD)

(3) The space group information has now been added to all output matrix files
(was only added in some circumstances)

(4) Rayonix MX300HS detector was mis-labelled as a circular detector (so the
corners could not be integrated).

(5) Detector size parameters now calculated for non-Rigaku Pilatus detectors

(6) Several detectors at Japanese synchrotrons are now recognised and have
reversed rotation sense set by default

(7) User could not change interspot separation in iMosflm because the XML was
not sent from Mosflm - fixed

(8) New C header file so that the Windows version will write to a file if
Mosflm is started with XMLFILE flag; previously the file was created but not
written to.

(9) Directory names can now include the ampersand (&) and other "illegal in
XML" characters - previously this was possible for Mosflm but broke XML
parsing in iMosflm.

Enjoy...
