Description:
This position is a direct sales position in our Single Crystal Strategic 
Business Unit.  Your primary responsibility will be to acquire new customers 
while retaining and growing the existing installed customer base for products 
related to X-ray diffraction of proteins, small molecule crystallography, 
robotic equipment for the crystallization of proteins, biological X-ray 
scattering (BioSAXS) techniques and X-ray microscopy.  You will be responsible 
for actively driving and managing all activities of the sales process in an 
assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities

  *   Effectively communicate the value and merits of Rigaku instruments to our 
existing and prospective customers
  *   Control all aspects of the sales cycle – prospecting, arranging product 
demonstrations, quoting, closing.
  *   Must be able to quickly and accurately communicate details from the 
customer to our internal resources and back again.
  *   Build strong relationships with customers.
  *   Must be a deal closer for all sales opportunities.
  *   Arrange or perform product demonstrations.
  *   Coordinate responses for public bids/tenders.
Qualifications

  *   Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with proven track record of 
generating good sales results with minimal daily direction.
  *   Must communicate professionally in verbal/written responses to emails, 
RFPs, and when submitting reports.
  *   Be enthusiastic, professional, competitive and driven to succeed.
  *   An advanced degree in Structural Biology, Crystallography or Life Science 
discipline is preferred.
  *   Experience in customer service, applications and/or sales.
  *   Experience and familiarity with our products or industry (BioSAXS, 
protein crystallography) is a plus.
  *   Must have strong computer skills.
  *   Must be prepared, and be able to travel without restriction both 
domestically and internationally for a significant proportion of time.
