A post-doctoral position is immediately available in the Division of Molecular Structural Biology at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm (http://phillips.mbb.ki.se), to work on the structure and function of multi-protein complexes involved in protein processing in the eukaryotic ER and early secretory pathway. For further information on our work in this field see e.g. Biterova et al. (2013) J. Mol. Biol. 425: p2208-2218; Svärd et al. (2011). PLoS One. 6(7):e22337; Wigren et al. (2010) FEBS Lett. 584; p878-82; Guy et al. (2008) J. Mol. Biol. 381; p941-955.
Applicants should have experience in working with eukaryotic protein complexes, including recombinant production and purification. This post would suit somebody with a background in protein biochemistry or molecular biology and an interest in learning X-ray crystallography, although experienced structural biologists are also very welcome to apply. The post is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension to two years. Interested candidates should send a cover letter and a CV, including the names and e-mail addresses of two referees, by e-mail to Dr. Jodie Guy (jodie....@ki.se). Closing date for applications is January 20th 2014. ******************************************** Dr. Jodie Guy Div.
