Dear BB readers, at the University of Milan in the Dept. of Biomol. Sciences we are currently looking for a motivated candidate for a 3-year Postdoctoral position in the lab of Prof. Bolognesi, under my supervision. The contract will start sometimes this spring (most likely March-April).
The project will be focusing on crystallographic and biophysical studies of Beta-2 microglobulin, a human protein forming pathogical amyloid fibrils. Crystallization and biophysical characterization of mutants, oligomers in order to understand the b2m fibril formation will be the focus of the project. Strong background in crystallography is necessary and experience in protein expression and purification is very welcome. Fluent English is required.
