We are looking to recruit an individual who will assume the role of PROGRAM
LEADER for one of several high-throughput (HT) programs within the Albert
Einstein Macromolecular Therapeutic Development Facility. At least three years
of experience with high-throughput approaches and automation, as applied to
protein production and structural biology, is strictly required.

This position will be associated with the Enzyme Function Initiative (EFI) and
the New York Structural Genomics Research Consortium (NYSGRC), two programs
funded through the NIH NIGMS to pursue high-throughput protein expression,
structural characterization and functional analysis. The successful candidate
would oversee the day-to-day activities of cloning, prokaryotic expression and
purification of EFI and NYSGRC sponsored targets. The candidate will also be
expected to interact effectively with a large multi-institutional team
possessing expertise in informatics, structural biology, computational
chemistry, enzymology, genetics and metabolomics.

This position requires outstanding management, organizational and leadership
skills, and provides considerable opportunities for scientific and technology
development. These HT programs are housed within the Macromolecular
Therapeutics Development Facility, which is fully equipped to pursue all
aspects of state-of-the-art structural genomics. The Protein Production Core
exploits extensive automation and an active program focused on the development
of novel protein expression/purification strategies, utilizing both prokaryotic
and eukaryotic hosts.
Candidates should contact Ron Seidel at ronald.seidel<at>einstein.yu.edu.
