the EMBL, Hamburg Unit:
Scientific Project Manager, Reference number: HH_00012
EMBL is seeking an EU Project Manager for the European research
infrastructure project, "Transnational access and enhancement of
integrated Biological Structure determination at synchrotron X-ray
facilities (BioStruct-X)".
The project will be coordinated by EMBL Hamburg and will include a total
of 19 partners from 10 European countries and Israel. It will provide
supported access to state-of-the-art structural biology facilities in
protein crystallography, small angle X-ray scattering, X-ray imaging and
protein production. It will be complemented by a series of focused joint
research and networking activities in relevant areas. The project is
anticipated to start in the autumn 2011 and will run for four years.
The successful candidate will work closely with the scientific
coordinator Matthias Wilmanns, the executive committee, all members of
the consortium, and the funding organization (European Commission). The
first tasks will be the establishment of appropriate management, data
base, dissemination and networking structures of the project.
