Hello all: I am curious about what level of recovery is reasonable when performing a TEV cleavage to remove 6HIS tags (N-terminal) from a protein. Currently we are experiencing >50% loss of soluble protein after TEV cleavage, and feel that this is too much. Are there better systems for his tag cleavage that have better soluble protein recoveries than TEV?
