Hello everyone, I thought you might be interested in a free 1-hour webinar that Bruker AXS is hosting on Tuesday, May 18th at 11:00 AM US Central Daylight Time: "Exploring Protein and Nucleic Acid Structure with Small Angle X-ray Scattering."
Small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) is an increasingly popular tool for studying the structure and interactions of biological macromolecules. SAXS provides information about the sizes and shapes of macromolecules which is complementary to other methods, such as crystallography and NMR. In the past, biological SAXS experiments were confined to synchrotron beamlines, but advances in hardware have made it possible to extend this technique to the home lab. During this webinar, Brian Jones and Matt Benning of Bruker AXS, and Dr. Sam Butcher, Professor of Biochemistry at University of Wisconsin - Madison, will provide an introduction to SAXS theory and techniques. They will also discuss experimental hardware for the home lab and practical applications for studying biological systems. To register, go to www.bruker-webinars.com and click "Register" next to the webinar title. If you cannot attend the live presentation, go ahead and register anyway, and a link to the on-demand version will automatically be sent to you afterwards. All are welcome and there is no charge to attend. Regards, Karen
