Dear All,

I have a question about the use of glutaraldehyde as a cross-linking agent. It is a practical question. The glutaraldehyde you can buy from Sigma- Aldrich contains a mixture of polymers according to the product information with an increasing number of polymers with increasing pH. Is it this mixture that is used for cross-linking crystals or do crystallographers use monomeric glutaraldehyde purified on charcoal?

Best regards,
Maria Håkansson
