Hello Vin,

have you tried fitting two glycerol molecules with complementary occupancies?

Can a trained eye identify this blob? This is 1.65 Ang resolution. There are
very few components in the M.L. and protein purification buffers:

~1.5 ammonium sulfate, ~50 mM TRIS-HCl buffer pH 8.5, ~5 mM
2-mercaptoethanol, and ~25% glycerol. That's it.

Glycerol fits the 'forked' portion, but does not account for the opposite
end that looks like a carboxylate. Are there any common contaminants
associated with glycerol (from aging), or left overs from synthesis (dirty
batch)? Any help is appreciated.
