Postdoctoral Scientist
£25,622 – £27,223 per annum
The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) is a world famous
institution with a strong track record in training postdoctoral fellows
who have gone on to become leading scientists. We have a postdoctoral
position available for a highly motivated and talented individual in our
Structural Studies Division.
Applicants are welcomed to apply to join the group of Meindert H.
Lamers. The lab focuses on the structural aspects of DNA replication and
translesion synthesis DNA repair, using X-ray crystallography, SAXS and
electron microscopy, in combination with standard biochemical techniques.
You should have a PhD and be experienced in protein purification and
characterization. Knowledge of X-ray crystallography and/or electron
microscopy is preferred but not required. Successful applicants will be
awarded a three-year Career Development Fellowship. The fellowship is a
training and development position for a post-doctoral scientist who has
recently completed their doctoral studies, is moving into a new research
discipline or has limited experience of key transferable skills.
