A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Katrin Rittinger at
the National Institite for Medical Reseach (MRC-NIMR) in London to study
the structural and functional properties of proteins that are part of
signalling pathways, which regulate innate immunity and inflammatory
responses. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in
molecular biology, protein expression and purification. Previous
experience in X-ray crystallography and the use of biophysical
techniques for the characterisation of protein complexes would be a
strong advantage.
Our group is part of the Division of Molecular Structure, which
currently consists of seven research groups, employing integrated X-ray
crystallographic and NMR approaches as the principle methodologies for
the determination of macromolecular structure and dynamics. Our
activities are further supported by a divere range of biophysical and
biochemical techniques including mass spectroscopy, optical
spectroscopy, analytical ultracentrifugation, binding and kinetic
analysis, cryo-electron microscopy, single molecule methods and
bioinformatics along with chemical biology approaches, all available
within the NIMR.
The position is available immediately for 3 years. Salary range is from
£27,091 - £32,827 per annum inclusive of Location Allowance. MRC final
salary Pension Scheme is also available.
Informal enquires can be made to Katrin Ritttinger
