Dear all, FIP-BM30A team, at ESRF, has developped
a robotized (so called "G-Rob") system to manipulate crystallization
plates and microchips. The plates/chips are directly exposed to the
X-ray beam,
enabling the user to get information such as space
groups, cell parameters, mosaïcity, or verify the presence of
specific substrate or heavy atoms, in a matter of minutes , without
removing the crystals from their crystallization
drops. Complete data collection is also possible, when symetry is high
enough and crystals don't degradate too rapidly. Beamtime is available on FIP-BM30A to
test this techniques. If interested, please contact me. JL -- Jean-Luc Ferrer jean-luc.fer...@ibs.fr |-------------------------------------------------------| |Institut de Biologie Structurale J.P.
