Hi Kay,

for me there is no problem in installing new binaries often. It is the
other way round, I love to test new version. What I suggested was more a
reply on what George asked: "Is it really essential to _*force*_ users
to update XDS every four months..."
You're arguments truly right. And it is your decision whether you give
the user an "unsupported" way to skip update or force the to do an update.

P.s. For all gentoo users it is pretty easy, the package will bump with
the release of a new version Mr. Kabsch.
