Division of Structural Biology, University of Oxford, UK.

Two MRC DPhil Studentships in Structural Biology starting October 2008.

Applications are invited for two 3-year PhD Studentships to join the groups of
Radu Aricescu and Christian Siebold, in the Division of Structural Biology at
the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford
(http://www.strubi.ox.ac.uk).

Research in these groups is focused on the understanding of recognition and
signalling events at the mammalian cell surface using structural biology
techniques (mainly X-ray crystallography).

Ideal candidates will have a strong educational background in biochemistry and
molecular biology. It is of advantage, but not necessary, for the candidate to
have some experience in cloning, mutagenesis, tissue culture, protein
expression, purification and crystallographic techniques.

Informal enquiries should be addressed to Radu Aricescu ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) or
Christian Siebold ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).

Closing date for applications: 15th November 2007.
Interviews will be held on 29th November 2007.

These Studentships are funded by the UK Medical Research Council and provide
financial support for fees and stipend. They are subject to residency and
eligibility requirements and therefore not suitable for international students
– further details can be found on the MRC website (www.mrc.ac.uk). Applications
