Diamond Light Source is the new UK synchrotron located in Oxfordshire,
south of Oxford. We currently have 3 tunable beamlines for
macromolecular crystallography and are in the process of constructing a
4th (microfocus) and designing a 5th (fixed wavelength side station). We
have permanent openings for 2 support scientists who will work alongside
the beamline scientists to support the beamline users. The positions
will combine user support and maintaining the beamlines to a high
operational standard with the opportunity to carry out project work of
some form, be that related to beamline instrumentation, structural
biology research or related areas of computing.
