Hi there, I tried to filter routes between areas with the "filter-list" command and it's not working for some reason
Restrictions : Only type 3 LSAs that originate from an ABR are filtered. -that means the ABR that does the translation from type 1 to type 3 right? R7 -is in area 1 -connects to R1 -has it's loopback and lan-prefix as type 1 in LSDB R1 -is in area 0 and 1 -connects to R7 -has R7's loopback and lan-prefix as type 1 -in area 1 LSDB -has R7's loopback and lan-prefix as type 3 -in area 0 LSDB And below configuration doesn't change the above: router ospf 1 area 0 filter-list prefix R7-sum in ip access-list standard R7-sum deny 7.7.7.7 deny 100.0.0.0 I've also tried: router ospf 1 area 1 filter-list prefix R7-sum out Am I missing something please?
