I think you should take earplugs in anyway.

If a voice lab is being tested and/or marked the constant ringing
becomes incredibly annoying and distracting.

I bought six pairs from a nearby chemist and used one pair myself.  At
lunch I sold the remaining pairs for $50 each.

Just kidding.  I gave them away.
