hello,

I haven't been able to find any answers for this online so let me know what
you all think. Suppose you have the following diagram,

R1-----R2------R3 (Link between R2 and R3 is frame relay)

Each router is configured with mpls and an IGP. R1 is sending traffic with
an mpls exp of 4 and R2 is matching the traffic and setting a priority
bandwidth on the output interface of R2 towards R3. How should the MQC
configuration be applied on the frame relay interface? For example
"service-policy output POLICY" directly on the frame-relay interface or do
you use a map-class via frame-relay traffic shaping to apply the service
policy command? For example:

class-map EXP4

match mpls exp top 3

!

policy-map POLICY

class EXP4

band 1000

!

int serial 2/0

frame-relay traffic shaping

frame-relay class 304

!

map-class frame-relay 304

frame-relay cir 45000000

service-policy output POLICY

!

Basically what I would like to know is one way wrong and the other correct?
Does it matter if the frame-relay is in a subinterface?

Thanks for the help

Stevan
