You do need to be familiar with AToM and L2TPv3 in all it's glory, so yes you 
need to know that L2VPN stuff. 
I wouldn't spend too much time on it though, since it's not that thoroughly 
tested on the lab exam. Mainly because you loose all the geeky features that 
you can do with L3VPN :-)

Still it's on the blueprint and it can be tested, so be familiar with it and 
configure the variations (interworking for frame and ethernet for example) will 
prepare you for the lab.
