Written exam is a lot more theoretical than workbooks can prepare you
for. However, they can help you understand the technology through
configuration. In that perspective, it would be helpfull _addition_ to
reading books, but not a replacement!

We always recommend our students to use real equipment for practice,
as that is the only way to get the required exposure to real equipment
and certain aspects of working with it. Now, that being said,
approximately 95% of the stuff can be done on Dynamips, including ATM.
What cannot be done there are ATM SVC and ATM AToM configurations.
