Quoting from the PDF you attached "The L1010-ASP-C-FCPFQ is identical to the C8515-MSRP, which will be the processor used in the Catalyst 8510 multiservice switch router (MSR). This Layer 3 and ATM integration will require an additional future hardware component that will utilize one entire slot in the LightStream 1010 or Catalyst® 8510 MSR." The same applied for the 8540 MSR too. The ³future hardware component² is the ARM ATM Router Module or its successor ARM2.
