Hi Bryan -
Dev pinged me offline to let me know that sitemap worked for BGP as a
PE-CE protocol. He was using 12.2(25)S9 on 7200 as well as on 3600
12.3. There's been some conflicting information out there and quite a
lot that says sitemap doesn't work for BGP. After I sent my first
message, I had thought I was wrong about using sitemap for BGP and was
confused about EIGRP. I'll try to get the bottom of this. I'm sure
we're right and wrong at the same time. Someone must have found a
version of IOS where sitemap isn't intended to work for BGP or maybe
someone found a bug. I suppose that as long we know both options it
might not really matter for the lab exam.
