Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_SP] InterAS MVPN option B and C
To: dara tomar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Dara,

I have very simple topology and have 5 routers connected in one chain...

R1-R2-R3-R4-R5

R1/R2/R3 is in one AS and R4/R5 in other AS... and running option B...
I have configured MSDP also and R3 and R4 are peering with each oter for
MSDP... no wehn I configured the MDT on R1 and R5, I can see the tunnel is
up/up but R1 and R5 didn't see each other as a neighbor for PIM... so what
will be the issue there i dont understand? as well as I have configured one
extra loopback on R1 and R5 and those loopback in one VRF with same RT/RD
value... and R1's loopback is RP for that VRF and it is configured as a
static RP for that VRF on both R1 and R5... then I configured other loopback
on R1 and again that loopback is in the same VRF.... now I configured
join-group on new Loopback on R1 and tried to ping that loopback (Multicast
Address) from R5, I cant able to make it... as well as under sh ip rfp VRF I
can see the RPF failed on all VRF routes learned in each other VRF... why is
it so that is what i am searching for...

all routers are runing PIM-SM between each other... R3 is SP RP for its own
AS and R4 is SP RP for its own AS...
again this is I am trying to test in DYNAMIPS (Cisco 7200 with 12.3 IOS)...

please help to resolve this issue...
